Thank you for using our application. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it. Please read it carefully.

Data Controller

The controller of personal data related to your BailaCon account is Percatech Arkadiusz Okoń, ul. Żarnowiecka 12, 43-100 Tychy, Poland, tax ID (NIP): 9542578680, REGON: 365784102, email: arkadiusz.okon@gmail.com. The legal bases and retention periods are described in the GDPR Information Clause.

What Data We Collect

To provide our services, we collect the following types of information:

• Data you provide directly: first name, last name, email address, phone number (optional), profile picture (optional), partner card number (e.g., Multisport — if you want to use it for classes), and other data you provide during registration and profile completion.
• Usage data: information about your interaction with the application, such as registrations for competitions, events, courses, and classes at dance schools, class attendance history (including QR code check-ins at the reception), results, learning progress (levels, syllabus, exams), purchased passes, tickets and products, submitted reviews and completed surveys, as well as favorite events and courses.
• Device data: information about the device you use, including model, operating system, and a unique device identifier for sending push notifications.

How We Use Your Data

We use your data for the following purposes:

• To provide and personalize our services, including managing your participation in competitions and events.
• To handle your participation in dance school classes: course enrollments, attendance records, passes, partner cards, exams, and learning progress.
• To process payments for tickets, passes, and school shop purchases (via the payment operator chosen by the organizer or school).
• To communicate with you, including sending notifications about competitions, events, schedule changes, school and course announcements, and important service information, as well as handling messages exchanged with a school in the application.
• To ensure the security and improve the performance of our application.

Data Sharing

Your data may be shared with service providers who assist us in operating the application (e.g., Google Firebase for authentication, Azure for hosting and email services), as well as with:

• Organizers of competitions and events you register for — they become separate controllers of your data with regard to organizing the event.
• Dance schools in which you enroll in courses and classes or from which you purchase passes and products — they become separate controllers of your data with regard to running classes, attendance records, and settlements.
• Payment operators (Tpay — Krajowy Integrator Płatności S.A., Mollie B.V. or Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., depending on the organizer or school) — to process payments. Funds are paid directly to the organizer or school.
• Sports card operators (e.g., Multisport, Medicover Sport) — solely to verify the card and settle class entries, if you use a partner card.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Data Kept by Schools and Organizers

Schools and organizers keep their own data about your participation in their classes and events in BailaCon (e.g. enrollments, attendance, passes, settlements, notes and reports). The controller of that data is the school or organizer, and BailaCon processes it on their behalf as a processor. For matters concerning that data, please contact the school or organizer directly — their details are given in the regulations of the school, competition or event.

Cookies and Site Analytics

The bailacon.app website (and dance school pages running on the BailaCon platform) uses Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Ltd. It helps us understand how visitors use the site — which pages they view, where they come from, how many complete a competition registration or payment — so we can improve the service.

• Only with your consent. Google Analytics starts only after you click “Accept” in the banner. Until then no data is sent to Google and no analytics cookies are stored. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
• What data: a pseudonymous browser identifier stored in the _ga and _ga_* cookies (valid for up to 2 years), pages visited (without tokens from private links), traffic source, approximate location, device and browser type, and events such as registration steps, payments or clicks on app download links. Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses. Advertising features and Google Signals are disabled.
• Retention: we keep Google Analytics data for 14 months.
• Your choice is remembered in your browser storage (localStorage) so we don't ask on every visit. You can withdraw consent at any time — change cookie settings or use the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Withdrawing consent deletes the Google Analytics cookies.

Dance schools running their pages on the BailaCon platform may connect their own Google Analytics account. On such a school's pages — and only with your consent — statistics are then also sent to the school, which acts as a separate data controller for them. The consent banner says so on those schools' pages.

Apart from that, the site only uses technical storage required for it to work (e.g. keeping the data you typed into the registration form during your visit), which does not require consent.

Transfers Outside the EEA

Some service providers (e.g. Google Firebase, Google Analytics) may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the USA. Such transfers are based on a European Commission adequacy decision (EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

Minors

Persons under 16 may use the application only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Your Rights

You have the right to access your data, to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing, and — where processing is based on consent — to withdraw your consent at any time. You can manage your data in the application's profile or use the dedicated account deletion page.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO) in Poland.
